A Letter to My Husband

Thank you for loving our child endlessly.
Thank you for supporting me, always.
Thank you for the every day, little things.
For cooking, for cleaning, for laundry.
For making the bed,
And walking the dog. Every.single.day.
For emptying the trash and making sure the dumpster is on the curb every Thursday.
Thank you for putting our needs before your own.
Thank you for your light sense of humor,
Your jokes when I need them most.
Thank you for your motivation, your dedication, and your commitment.
Thank you for your fearless, adventurous spirit,
For pushing me when I’m complacent,
And lifting me up when I am down.

For the things I don’t acknowledge enough, thank you.

8 Months

Well, hello Mr. Chatty. All of a sudden, one evening, you started to babble, like really babble. You’ve always made sounds, obviously, but now you sound like you’re telling your own little stories. On and on and on you go. We don’t have a definite “1st word” yet, however we can’t be far. Naturally, I’ve stepped up the “mamamamamama’s”.

You are still working on the whole sitting thing. You’ll sit for a few minutes, but when you start to sway, game over. You don’t catch yourself yet, you just slowly tip to the side until you’re laying, and happily continue to play.

One of my favorite things is that you always have the biggest grin when we come to get you in the morning. Even if your eyes are still closed, as soon as we turn your light on, bam, smile. It’s the BEST.

The big news this month is that you now crawl! You are moving all over the place, and it’s so fun to see you zone in on something, and after a little concentration and coordination, your arms and legs get you where you want to go.

You are such a happy baby, full of little squeals and smiles, giggles and coos. Happy 8 months sweet boy!

All our love.
