Bumpdate! Weeks 21 and 22

I have a little catching up to do (no surprise there!) Here are bump pictures from the last 2 weeks. I finally caved and bought maternity pants. They are fantastic, I really may never wear regular pants again. Why did I wait so long?! I am still working what I can of my pre-maternity shirts- but it won't be long before I break down and get some shirts that are made to accomodate this ever-growing belly.

Week 21.5
This stinker is not exactly thrilled that things seem to be changing around the Stubbs' household. Recently she's began a slight destructive rebellion- and I plan to document the guilty bugger from here on out.

It's A...

BOY!!!
We had an amazing time with our families in Colorado. It flew by as it always does, but it was nice to have no agenda and just enjoy!
We decided to do a baby reveal just before Thanksgiving dinner so that we would find out at the exact moment the rest of our families there did- and it was such a fun experience. Tyler's aunt is super creative, and she was kind enough to offer to put that fantastic box together- then she asked her friend to peek at the gender and have the correct balloons placed inside- so EVERYONE at dinner was just as surprised as we were.
We pinned on ribbons to declare our guesses, and headed outside to find out for good what this little nugget is! Tyler and I both guessed boy- but it didn't make seeing those blue balloons any less surprising or exciting! Here are some moments from our Thanksgiving Day.

Take your pick...

Turkey time!

I threw this in- because LOOK at that sunset.

Baby's first Broncos gear! (Thanks Grandpa Chuck!)

This year we truly have so much to be thankful for, the opportunity for Tyler to be getting his master's degree, a job that I love- working with wonderful supportive people, a baby BOY on board, and our families and friends- who we couldn't have gotten here without. We are so grateful for each of you. Here's to being thankful this day, and every day.

Baby Kicks

I have been able to feel this little soccer player rolling around for a couple weeks now, but last night while we were laying in bed, Tyler was able to feel the baby kick for the first time. There are no words- this whole experience has been so amazing, and so mind-blowing.

Today- even more action. We look forward to many more kicks, and to them getting stronger every day. Bring it on baby S- every movement, every kick means your thriving, and for that we are grateful.

Baby S- you are rocking our world already, and we love every second of it.

Tomorrow we are Colorado bound for Thanksgiving! This will be the first holiday spent with family in over 3 years, and we are so ready. Bring on big family gatherings- the Stowe/Stubbs combination always guarantees a good time.

Thanksgiving Day we will find out what you are, baby S. No more referring to you as "it"! We have so much to be grateful for this Holiday season, we are truly blessed. I know we are exactly where we are supposed to be- and we are soaking in every moment.

Happy almost Thanksgiving! We hope you have a wonderful holiday with friends or family, wherever you are!

Here we are- half way to Baby S!

PS: HAPPY VETERANS DAY! So grateful for all the men and women out there who sacrifice everything to ensure our freedoms!

Baby Bump Flashback

Here is a look back at my weekly “bump” photos… which quickly became more “pick out a cute outfit since I’m getting my picture taken” then a bump picture- mostly because there was no bump whatsoever until a few weeks ago.

A Family Photo Shoot

We are so blessed to have an amazing photographer in the family. Tyler's mom is fantastic, and takes wonderful photos as a hobby... which couldn't be more convenient for us (especially now!) Every time we find ourselves in Colorado Springs, we try to snag some of her time for some pictures... why not?!

This time was extra special, because while we didn't yet know it, we would find out just days later that our little family of 3 would soon be 4! Here's a peek at our time between Germany and Ohio- our pit-stop in Colorado.

My super-adorable god-daughter, Camille

Kahla is always good for a lttle comic relief... I mean, what IS that face?!

Bumpdate! Week 19

...I'm learning to get creative with my clothes. I spend just a little more time in my closet every day.

Kicking Things Off

This is way overdue. It occurred to me several times while we were living in Europe that I should blog. I should definitely be capturing our adventures- but I just never sat down and got started. As I approach the half way point in my pregnancy, (how did that happen?!) I'm realizing how fast these moments pass us by, and want to make sure we have a way to look back. I want to savor these moments over and over again.

I want to kick things off with a quick look into our weekend. It looked something like this:

Football was something we missed- alot- while we were in Europe. When we realized our beloved Broncos would be playing in Cincinnati- we jumped on the opportunity to get in on the action. The stadium sits right on the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati and it was a beautiful day. Not surprisingly, the Broncos showed the Bengals who's boss- glad we could be there to represent!
