33 Weeks and Counting...

Little nugget number two, I haven't forgotten about you. Things have been, just, a bit busy around here. Nonetheless, it's time for you to get some much-deserved attention.

The kicks, punches and rolls are REAL now - goodbye flutters, hello jabs to the ribs. I don't quite remember movements to actually be painful with Jackson, but every now and then you catch me off guard with a serious jab. And for a moment I think you could very well bust right through my uterus. Happily, that has yet to happen, so I'm going to trust that my body was designed to withstand such abuse.

It is HOT here. Like, 80s and 90s and 85% humidity hot - conditions that anywhere else in this great country would call for air conditioning. But not here. Instead, I've been rocking sports bras, hanging in our basement, and making sure my trusty high-powered box fan follows me everywhere. I'm ready for fall to settle in, and I'm dreaming of crisp days, cool nights, all things pumpkin-flavored, and best of all, cuddling you in my arms.

Speaking of uncomfortable, sleeping has become a challenge of sorts. Turning over in the night demands an effort of epic proportions, peeing 3+ times is not uncommon, and the heat and brunt jabs to the ribs have made night time less than restful.

Finally my hips. Oh, my hips. Anytime I sit for an extended period of time and then stand, I can feel all 15 pounds of extra weight right there, on my hips.

Ok, that was a ton of complaining. But here's the really great news - that's the worst of it! This pregnancy is smooth sailing, and for that I am so grateful. Outside of those small (and totally expected) nuances, I absolutely cannot complain. Thank you baby #2, for being easy on me.

I am feeling SO ready to meet you. I have all the lists - hospital bag lists, to-do lists, and to-buy lists all prepared and waiting for execution (you can blame your brother's early arrival for this). My goal is to have everything (and I do mean everything) ready for your arrival before we jump on a plane to Colorado for my BFF, Melissa's, wedding in just under a week and a half. And I do think we'll accomplish that goal.

Once we return from Colorado, I plan to spend the month of September doing nothing but encouraging you to make your big debut - maybe just a couple weeks early? Any chance?

Here is a roundup of bump pictures, since I have been the absolute worst at both capturing and posting them.

Sweet nugget, we simply cannot wait to meet you. (Although, you do need to stay put for 3 more weeks, at least. Please and thank you.)

The Cape

Earlier this year, I told Tyler all I really wanted for my birthday, was to be sitting on a beach somewhere with my two favorite people. After some research, we decided on Cape Cod. Not only could we drive there, we could also get some serious exploration and sight seeing in. During our stay, we also ventured to Salem and Plymouth, and even ventured into Rhode Island for a day.

Here's a few ridiculous amount of pictures.

30th Birthday Dinner

Hyannis: Cape Cod Beer, Main Street, and Whale Watching

Beach!

Our Digs.

Plymouth: Plymouth Village, Mayflower II, and Downtown

I'm fairly confident that bull could run that fence right down. But, maybe that's just me.

Behold, Plymouth Rock.

More beach!
