Jackson,

The days are not slowing down, but I can tell you one thing is for sure: we cherish every single moment we get to spend with you. You are such a fun, happy, loving baby. Most days I wish I could just pause time, and live in a moment for hours. This is exactly what I try to do on the weekends. I used to be adamant about making the most of our weekends, going here and there and doing this and that. Things have changed. The only thing I want now is to spend hours on the floor playing with you, helping you learn to sit and making you laugh (which can be a challenge, you stinker!).  

In the last month, as usual, you’ve been making some big changes!

·         You’ve eaten apples, carrots, avocado, pumpkin, strawberries, bananas, and sweet potatoes. You love it all!

·         You have had some early wake up calls recently. Waking up at 4:30 hungry is not unusual… any chance you could get back to normal sleeping hours??

·         You’re working on sitting- you can manage for short amounts of time at the moment.

·         You pull yourself onto your hands and knees and rock. You want to move SO BAD.

·         You have your TWO BOTTOM TEETH! They both came in within 24 hours of each other, and you didn’t complain a bit.

·         You do the cutest thing ever. You are discovering the feeling of different fabrics on your little fingers. You like to scratch our backs or sides as we feed you. Please never stop.

·         You recognize us. It’s the best thing. When we walk in a room and you hear our voices you turn excitedly to see us.

While I will admit a part of me is sad to see you grow so quickly, a bigger part of me is so grateful you’re thriving, changing, and turning a little bit more into the person you will become every day. You’re growing just the way you were meant to, and we look forward to everything your future holds!
