Taste of Syracuse

A few weeks ago, we ventured to the Syracuse Food Truck Festival - which in theory sounds great, but in reality was just ok. Crappy weather, an entry fee, high prices, and crazy (CRAZY) long lines made for a less-than-ideal experience.

Last weekend, we took our chances with Taste of Syracuse - which brings out the area's best restaurants, who each offer $1 samples of some of their most popular foods (along with full size versions for the die-hards). And boy, did it deliver. This year marked the festival's 20th anniversary, and it shows. Everything ran smoothly, no long lines, and HELLO - all the samples you can get your hands on for $1 a piece. Instead of trying one or two dishes... we tried all.the.food.

It didn't hurt that the day turned out to be beautiful, either. This prego left the festival one happy, stuffed, lady.

Here are some pictures, because - food (and that boy - he's pretty cute, too).

Look how happy!

Salt potato and bacon pizza!

Fried PB&Js!

Soft serve! (Full size, obviously.)

Even freebie drink samples!
